WhatsApp, Why does not it contain advertising?


 Everyone has probably used messaging applications such as Line, KakaoTalk or WhatsApp, but the last is the most used. WhatsApp currently has over 430 million monthly active users , compared the previous month (December 2013) in which it had 400 million users. So the application has won 30 million new users this month.
In addition , each day WhatsApp processes 18,000 million incoming messages and 36,000 million outgoing messages.

What is the secret of WhatsApp ?

Well , the company apart from the competition with a unique application to send messages without seeing ads force only intended to communicate and send direct messages.
In addition, the CEO said , the DLD conference, which ruled that WhatsApp won't become a social platform, such as LINE or  KakaoTalk. He states that the goal of the company is to focus on straightforward messaging. They are not focused on becoming an advertising network or a network game or even a network of photographs.
It appears that the differentiation that has made users like WhatsApp, which are in this application and continue to grow new users.

"From the outset we wanted to build something lasting, a company that still exists in 10, 20 or 50 years," says Koum.

Muy cierto, los usuarios valoramos mucho que las app no tengan publicidad! actualmente se usa sobretodo WhatsApp porque es la aplicación que tiene todo el mundo, y ya por inercia es la primera que te descargas cuando te compras un móvil nuevo. Pero imagino que el hecho de no tener publicidad habrá sido una de las causas por las que se empezó a usar. Buen post!

  2. Gracias compañera, muy cierto WhatsApp tiene una ventaja competitiva muy buena a pesar de que otras están siguiendo con su modelo como "Telegram" aunque no son tan usadas como WhatsApp.
